Students 2.5 miles and over from school that are not Transfers qualify for free busing.
Transfer students: Transportation is not Guaranteed, and if approved you must pay and drive your student to the closest stop on the current route.

Kindergarteners and first-graders must have an adult present to receive the student at the bus stop.
If registering to receive free busing based on Meal Status or Direct Certification you must email a copy of your Eligibility Letter to payments@dsbuslines.com OR complete the Consent for Disclosure. Consent form
New this year, you can check if you qualify for over 2.5 miles free busing. To do so, simply go to School Finder and enter your home address. SCHOOL FINDER The mileage listed MUST be 2.5 miles or more to receive free busing.
High schools only offer busing to students living 2 miles or more from school. In some high-density areas just under 2 miles, busing may be available. If you are unsure whether busing is available in your area, please call DS Bus Lines at 913-384-1190 before registering.
If your student qualifies to receive special education busing, you do not need to register. Special education busing is arranged through the school. You will receive your transportation information by phone or email before school starts. All special education students are to be received by an adult unless a guardian has given permission to DS Bus Lines for drop off without being received.
If you registered for busing by July 11, 2025, your student should be assigned to a bus before the start of school. Your student’s bus information can be found in your Skyward account. If not, please call DS Bus Lines at 913-384-1190.
